HDR
HDR stands for high dynamic range imaging. In image editing, computer graphics, and photography HDR is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest parts of a photograph. HDR allows a wide range of intensity levels to make a photo accurate and precise looking. HDR photography is often captured when you have different exposed pictures of the same subject matter. HDR is also a range of techniques that help develop more contrast in pictures for better enhancement. When you work with HDR you have unlimited exposure levels and contrast ranges. The two main sources of HDR imagery are computer renderings and the merging of multiple (LDR) low dynamic range and (SDR) standard dynamic range photographs. HDR is important to photography because cameras are very limited to the detail that they can capture, so by incorporating HDR techniques you can get into the deeper intensity of your photo and you are allowed more range. The main purpose of HDR photography is to get a better look of an image by changing the shadows, highlights, and mid-tones with editing techniques.
