Line Photography
Line photography is when you take pictures that incorporate horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines that emphasize the lines and do not work against them. When using lines in a photo you can help enhance the height, strength and stimulate different feelings from the viewers. Horizontal lines bring a feeling of balance to a photo. Diagonal lines give a feeling of force, energy, and motion. There is also a thing in photography that is called leading lines; leading lines are lines that lead up to a bigger subject in a picture. For example a river line going into the mountains is very attractive for the eye to look at and is found often appealing. Usually leading lines in a photo start from one corner of a page and end up in another. It is easy to take good line photos if you think about all the items you know that form lines. Such as, fences, light poles, trees, roads, rivers, walls, and fences. There are endless possibilities and ways to create awesome line photography.

Self Evaluation/ Reflection about Line Photos
I feel my line photos were really cool. They incorporated lines in all the photos. I edited all the photos for better enhancement too. The skills that I used for my photos were color balance, curves, artistic filters, and black and white enhancement. When taking photographs I took different angled shots by taking pictures that were low to the ground or turning my camera sideways. I was also able to include myself in some of the line angles. I am happy the way my pictures came out because they are very clear and incorporate fun perspectives of lines. Each line picture I took is completely different which brings more variety of artistic appeal. I planned to execute the images by making the lines of the photo pop out amongst the rest of the activity in the photo. This project was a meaningful piece of work because it tested my ability to make something as simple as lines look visually appealing and I think I did a great job.
